Child age 8 baptized when he’s not a child of record
There’s some confusion in our bishopric on which form to fill out for a child that is 8 years old, but never received a baby blessing, and no child of record was ever created for him. Should we use the form entitled, "Baptism and Confirmation Form (Member of Record)” or the form entitled "Baptism and Confirmation Form (Convert)”? His mother is a member of the ward. Thanks.

I'd look over the required information to see which is a better fit.
Normally, CoR baptisms falls under the bishop, but converts fall under the mission president. Also, I think they have to be 9/9+ to be considered a convert.

If neither parent is a member then they are converts at age 8, but as the mother is a member then they are a child of record baptism until 9russellhltn wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 6:13 pm I'd look over the required information to see which is a better fit.
