Re: WhatsApp enabling on the Ward Directory
For us it has become more cost effective. When you use WhatsApp through twilio you get a flat rate for messages vs sms they charge by segment. We currently use both methods to deliver.if a can’t can use what’s app we use that if they don’t we continue to use sms to send messages. Our list is of about 120 contacts. More than half use WhatsApp. Our ward is a Spanish ward so a lot members use WhatsApp to communicate.

Re: WhatsApp enabling on the Ward Directory
I just noticed my Church account doesn't seem to have the WhatsApp option available anymore. The referenced link isn't found (probably a separate issue), but navigating to my Church Account page only shows phone and email sections.caillines wrote: Sun Jan 28, 2024 5:17 pmFor those following along, you can see the option at https://account.churchofjesuschrist.org ... nformation under the contact phone number fields.
Has the WhatsApp trial been discontinued, or was there some kind of other change that anyone is aware of? I'm not actively looking to do anything with WhatApp and my Church account, but rather just interested in where this stands.

I see the option if I go into edit mode. I'm trying to remember if Tools used to show it but grayed out. Now, it doesn't show it at all if it's not enabled.
