Option to cancel over 18 unbaptized member gone

The option to cancel the membership record of an unbaptized over 18 is gone.
I last did a successful cancellation in Feb 2026.
I got our bishop to try the option, it was also gone from his user.
Anybody know anything about this, has it changed?

Section 33.6.2 seems unchanged. But I do notice that a stake president's permission is required. Perhaps it's worth sending a note to the president to see if he still has that option.

I just checked if I can cancel the record of an unbaptized person over 18 years of age and I still have that ability. I opened the record and clicked the Actions button and clicked the 'cancel record' link. This brought up a warning message and the question; "Do you have permission from the stake president to cancel this record?" I did not check the 'Yes' box since this was a test and instead checked the 'No' box to cancel the test. But everything to that point worked fine.

Did you attempt to cancel the record using another method?

I use the "actions" drop down box in the members profile to cancel the membership record.
I will ask and check with the stake president if he still has the option.
