When will the Gospel Library be re-written for the new HP TouchPad?

I don't know much about the TouchPad, but have you tried the existing webOS version of Gospel Library on it? Does it not work at all, or do you just want some improvements?
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

In general, these applications move as fast as the volunteer community developers have the time and the talent to move it forward. Unfortunately, it's rarely as fast as the non-developer church members would like it to move.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

The existing app does indeed work on the TouchPad, but in a "compatibility mode", where it is displayed in a Pre-size window. The LDS Tools app works as well.

Unfortunately, I'm not currently in a position to help with this, but here's a helpful hint that could make it more TouchPad friendly quickly (with the previously noted limitations about content updates).

1) In the appinfo.json file, set a new parameter: "uiRevision: 2" This makes the TouchPad think the app is made for it.

2) Since the TouchPad does not have the gesture area, add "Back" buttons at the top of each page to navigate back to the previous page.

The UX won't be optimum, but it will be better than it is currently, and should be relatively low effort. Same holds true for any other webOS app for phones that you want to make run on the TouchPad.

It's HERE! You should see it as an available update when you click on SW Manager. And it works GREAT! Thanks!
