For example, I knew the calendar revision was coming (I signed up for the beta test), but didn't know it had been implemented until I got email from one of our building schedulers regarding all the changes. When I went to check it out, then I discovered these additional changes to the main lds.org page & the login/Tools issue (which, I agree, needs some work to be a bit more intuitive). I'm already subscribed to the new Technology Specialists email list...would be nice if they could use that tool to let us know what's happening when...so we can at least be prepared for the barrage of questions that come our way when things change. We could even let our stake & ward leaders know what's coming ahead of time, so they too are not caught off-gaurd. BTW, I DO appreciate all the good work and changes that are happening on the church site, would just appreciate more/better communication about what's happening when...I shoudn't have to come here and search these threads to find out what's going on. I thought it might just be me, but it's obvious from this thread that I'm not the only one that was caught off-gaurd...
I would +1 these comments. We've heard this year about communicating with the STS and other leaders, setting up the subscriptions through the LDS Account, etc. I truly feel the STS role is not yet where it needs to be in relationship with ICS/FamilySearch. We are your Evangelizers. We're on the front lines out there putting together training, encouraging the use of these tools. When changes like this continually happen it makes me feel the fool in this relationship. Members of the Church, STS, Leaders in wards and stakes are not seen or viewed as customers, otherwise, it seems to me, there would be a different priority about communication.
