I too apologize for emphasizing the negative. Reading a conference talk, for example, is a much more pleasant experience with the new styling for small screens. I wanted to make sure you were aware of the minor annoyance of the extra redraw, but I am very grateful for the improvement!
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

No offense taken, I'm thick skinned. Just wanting to make sure we are putting efforts in places that will be of benefit to the user. If the redraw detracted from the experience then it might discuss backing the changes out, thus by asking more pointedly.

We of course appreciate feedback to let us know what needs to be improved. We will be working on is as soon as we can.
