Make sure his calling is recorded correctly in LCR. Wait 24 hours. Do a send/receive on MLS so it gets the message about the new calling.

Creating a user profile in MLS does not grant any permissions outside MLS. The Ward Assistant Clerk - Finance calling must be a standard calling entered through Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR). I don't think the calling can be entered through MLS. I think it will redirect you to LCR to enter the calling. A custom position, even though it is entered exactly as a standard position, is not granted any permissions. Additionally it can take some time for the permissions to propagate through all the systems. We generally tell everyone to wait at least 24 hours after the standard calling is entered before expecting access permissions. If after 48 hours there is still a problem then you may need to contact the Global Service Department for help.

Note: Make sure a new signature card is signed by all finance permissions users and uploaded to LCR or mailed in.

It should be noted that the login to LCR will be the Church Account (previously known as LDS Account). The login to MLS is something created by an MLS admin. The username/password could be the same, but in most cases is not.

Despite the logins being different, there is a link between the two. The calling must be in LCR and the MLS login must be linked to his membership record in MLS.

Odds are it needs time for the new calling to ripple though the system. After recording, it can take up to 24 hours to get rights in LCR. MLS might require the calling to come down from LCR in a send/receive before it grants permission.

I see the calling was recorded last Sunday, so he should have rights to LCR by now. Assuming MLS has done a send/receive today, you may find he does have access now. If not, then a MLS admin might need to look at his MLS account and make sure he's set with Finance rights.
