I am assuming the database to upload is Troopmaster software data from a personal PC. I am also assuming the on-line software functions much the same as the PC based software only on a secure server. The link to the post Russell references discusses Church created and managed data that is made available to members through Church secure web sites and secure Church computer software. If the source of the data is from the Church website or from MLS then the upload and storage of the data on the Troopmaster server is not advised. If the data on the Troopmaster software database was provided voluntarily by the Scouts or their parents then the burden of determining whether the transfer of the data to the website is acceptable or not is in the hands of your local priesthood leaders.shamill70 wrote:Troopmaster Software has launched a secure site for troop's to upload their databases...
My interpretation of the policy is that if the information was provided by the Scouts or their parents and the website does not put itself out as representing the Church in any way then your local leaders may have reason to expect that there is no conflict with Church policy.
Just my 2 cents.
