Available in the Library App, read Church Policies and Guidelines in The General Handbook specifically (38.2.8.2) for baptism. This will help anyone who Is unsure of this ordinance’s consent and how it should be prepared for authorization from the guardians of a minor as defined by law in the country it is being performed. I suggest reading all of 38 in CP&G to ensure you are following guidelines in circumstances that you may have any concern for ordinances performed, i.e. learning disabilities, critical illness, blessings, ratifications, new members, missing/incorrect year on records, out of sequence ordinances, authorizations, etc. I would also suggest if you have any doubt council with someone from your bishopric in your ward to negate any mistake made and if needed mission president when applicable. This is my understanding of how to deal with this. I hope this helps someone answer any questions they might have concerning this ordinance or other ordinances performed and remember “church records are sacred” (33.1 General Handbook). read over the General Handbook when you get a chance it’s well defined and beautifully constructed.

I write this with Love and dedication to Dear Heavenly Father. Amen.

Sincerely,
-Brother Isturiz (Atlantic Ward)
