You'll probably need to go though official support channels. The forum is primarily member-to-member support.

The mission should have resources or at least contact information about those resources.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

My son needs a new phone and is planning on a mission in less then a year. Is it worth getting him the same phone the missions are using or do they not bring/buy their own phones anymore?

I had a similar issue with my old work phone. I couldn’t remove MaaS360 until I did a factory reset. Just make sure to back up anything important before you reset it, though! It was a bit of a hassle, but it worked for me.

@onyxgreen, did you return from a mission or did you recently purchase this phone from someone who was a missionary?

If it has maas360 installed, then it is likely Church property and should be returned to the person you bought it from who can then return it to their nearest mission office

As was mentioned at the top of this thread, the Tech Forum is for user-to-user self help and discussion, and is not connected to the Church support system. One idea I have would be to reach back out to your Mission and see if they have details. I would expect that your phone situation is similar to every other missionary who returns home from their mission, so hopefully there is some material the Mission Office can provide that will help you transition your phone back to personal use.
