My bishop tells me that CHQ is asking local leaders to encourage members to use the online tools provided by the church. That's a significant part of my calling. It's just difficult when you can't get any reports to determine how successful you are. If there are concerns about disclosing who has an LDS Account, I'd be content to get other kinds of aggregate reporting, such as how may distinct members of my ward used the website by tool each month. For example, how many distinct members accessed Directory, Journal, Calendar, Lesson Schedules, Newsletter, etc. This type of reporting would at least let me assess the usage level of various tools.
