I’m not entirely sure what this was supposed to add to either the thread, or my recent additions to it. I’ve been tasked with providing information, and I’ve reached out to this well of knowledge.

You can have the amateur license and even a radio or two but if you don't use them on a regular basis then you will not develop the skill to carry out coms when the shummer hits the fan. K9TOB
