Has this been resolved or is member IT assistance non-existent?
Those of us who participate on the Forum are regular church members like yourself, with no special connection to "member IT assistance". However, we all enjoy sharing our thoughts and ideas about how to workaround or resolve these types of issues, so if you provide more details about what you're experiencing, you may get a helpful response. And if you're looking for a more official response, you can try the Global Services approach that was suggested in this thread a few posts before yours.

Open member tools, click on “more” lower right corner, click on tools, download stake and ward information. Fixed mine. I was not able to get member info.

I deleted my app and reinstalled. I am still seeing Member Tools Unavailable. Do I have to have the latest and greatest?
I am on iOS 15.8.3 and do not want to buy a new iPhone just for this app. What else can I do to get Member Tools working again.

I also submitted a trouble ticket a few days ago though my phone and have not heard back.

The Apple App store says the current version "requires iOS 16.0 or later". That's probably the issue.

It looks like the only phones that are stuck at iOS 15 are iPhone7 and before. They were discontinued in 5 years ago and have just fallen out of support from Apple.

You can probably still use the web pages in your phone's browser, but are unlikely to get Member Tools app working again.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

tools not available

I’ve tried all suggestions, turning phone off, deleting and reinstalling app, background refresh and still says tools not available. Can anyone help? I can log in fine on my desktop with same ID and password. :x

What version of Tools? There's been some indication that pre-5 is no longer has support from the servers. Your OS may be too old to update to 5.

That’s exactly what it is. My iPhone is a 6s+. Many of my apps are useless because I can’t upgrade becuz I don’t have iOS 16, this includes the Tools App.

I had to buy a new iPhone yesterday. Walmart had decent deal on iPhone 12pro 128gb w/insurance for 375. We’ll see how that works out.

Elders Quorum President who uses and NEEDS!!! this app all the time. It stopped syncing about a month ago.
I am on a pixel 8a, up to date with the latest update and android 15. I have tried all the fixes I have found here on the forums, manual sync, log out and log in. Uninstall and reboot reinstall, do that without the pictures etc.. wifi and cellular sync attempts, even changed my account password and still get the member services unavailable. Last I checked I hadn't been excommunicated yet..
Any other ideas or any way to contact anyone to escalate this?

Try a ward clerk of stake technology specialist. I suspect they will end up referring you to Global Services. Best wishes.

Did you try the suggestion mentioned here? You could discuss that with the service rep if you end up contacting GSD.

The other thing to remember is that the web version is always available via a browser on your phone. Yes it's definitely not as user-friendly, but at least it's a workaround for those who find themselves in this type of situation, and have an ongoing need to access member data from their phone.
