Thanks for the replies.

I've confirmed that the VTC in question is correctly assigned the official (not custom) position. The ward clerk will meet with her to see if there is a problem, or just a need for training.

I didn't say it clearly enough, but that was my line of thinking. Thanks for the confirmation.

I'm not sure if a new district can be created without a supervisor - if not, I can see how this could quickly become "I can't do anything" if the first task they're trying to do is create a new district.

I missed this when it originally came in. If she didn't transmit after entering the May information, it may not have been picked up by the import process. We tried very hard to minimize the window between when a unit transmitted and when its data was converted. If the data wasn't transmitted, there isn't anything that could be done at the headquarters side.

A visiting teaching coordinator can assign a district supervisor to a district but cannot record the calling of a new district supervisor.

But a RS president or secretary could now record that calling (assuming one of the clerks had somehow missed it), correct?

Or RS Councilors. And since I would expect any such calling to go though the presidency, this really shouldn't be much of a issue once the presidency gets on board with keeping callings up to date.

The ward clerk reported back to me after meeting with the VTC and it turned out that there was no issue with missing functionality, but rather she needed direction.

Is it possible for a RS president to view the ward's home teaching assignments? And vice versa? Our EQ pres and I both regularly check the other organization's assignments to make sure we're providing the best possible watchcare for the members in our ward. Sometimes it helps to have the VTs in contact with the HTs to figure out how to contact a certain teachee or to update the HTs on a situation of a sister that the VTs are more in tune with.

We used to simply give each other access to our Google docs where we both have organized our assignments in the past, but it would be great to now do that on lds.org.

Not currently. You may have to exchange printed (PDF?) copies.
