LDS.Org Rolls Not Updated
I have been having problems with the attendance rolls available on LDS.Org. The rolls on LDS.Org are not synched with MLS. The only way to obtain accurate attendance rolls is to print them out from MLS. This is more burdensome for the organizations, who want to be able to print their own rolls. How can I make sure that LDS.Org rolls catch up?

In general, the rolls are synchronized -- what you see on lds.org should match what you see in MLS. So if you are seeing something different, please help us understand the nature of what you are seeing. What kind of issues are you seeing?
- Class members are missing?
- Class members are listed who are not actually in the class?
- What kinds of classes have problems -- Sunday School, Primary, Priesthood, Youth?
- Classes missing?
- Other issues?

IIRC, class enrolment is not transmitted to CHQ. So lds.org is having to take a "best guess" as to what classes members belong in where MLS has all the manual (re)assignments.

You're right that actual class membership is not stored at CHQ. So the class membership follows the standard rules for each class, based on age and sex. That will take into account members who move in and out of the ward, and members who move to a new class at the beginning of a year or on a birthday, based on age. In general that will work just fine, except for issues such as split classes within age groups, combined classes across age groups, and individuals who have specifically been moved out of a class because of a specific need that doesn't match the default class rules.RussellHltn wrote:IIRC, class enrolment is not transmitted to CHQ. If you want rolls that allow for all those exceptions you'll have to continue to use MLS until all that information is transmitted to CHQ. My guess is that you'll be waiting a while for that to happen.

Unfortunately, I'm sure that will result in nearly every ward having an incorrect YM, YW, Priesthood and RS roll, as there are nearly always excepts for older high school seniors/younger high school graduates as well as the assignments for prospective elders between the Elders and High Priest's quorums.
Frankly, I'm a little surprised that they rolled out this feature when they knew about this issue. At least there should be a disclaimer on the website about that particular function.
