Inventory management System

I am a student doing Management Information Systems and I have to develop an Information System and I want to develop a Inventory Management System that can be used by distribution centres, I would to set a reorder level that would automatically trigger orders to replenish the centres and provide daily reports that would provide information to the people who work at the centres. They will know the most selling products , and this information will equip them to make better decisions on the products they should order more frequently, stock levels they should have and better serve the majority.

If there is anybody who wants to help by making suggestions on other features I should include in the system please contribute , any requirements you wish to be included are most welcome.

It is my first project and welcome help from those in the field already
