If you were to do this then people could schedule events on Android and iOS devices. You can't click and drag a time range with a device that has no mouse button, but if you would give us a way to add events without a mouse button, the calendar would be used more widely.

All you need to do is click the + button at the top left of the calendar and you can add an event.
