Changing visibility settings

#1

Post by arabaszlb »

I am the ward directory administrator and both the ward clerk and I cannot change my own privacy settings from "Private Leadership Only" to "Stake Visibility". Thus, my photos and home address are unavailable to ward and stake members. At times there is a faint "lock" feature visible. The ward clerk and I have tried everything we can think of--even "moving me out of the ward and back in again." Really frustrating.

I am an administrator for our ward and I have also been unable to change any settings for this record. If there is any more specific information that could be helpful to gather then I could pass it along.

At the moment it just seems that the request is erroring out with an "Internal Server Error 500", the loading spinner never leaves the page and everything just hangs. I looked at the post information and it shows the "individualId" as -1 rather than a real id number. This issue seemed to be related to a family member who is not a member of the church.

Yes, there is a known bug with that situation. You can try contacting Local Unit Support, but you might have to wait for the next version of the directory to come out. We don't know when that will be.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
