Prospective Elders
Prospective Elders
I am the ward clerk in a singles ward, and thus everyone in my ward is 18 and older. We have a few priests and a teacher, all 18, who I'd like to put into the "Prospective Elders" category. Does anyone know how I can do this? I know the handbook says 19 and older are prospective elders, but I have others in my ward who are 18, and labeled as prospective elders. Please help, thanks!
Re: Prospective Elders
To qualify as a prospective elder one of the following must apply:
- 19 years of age or older and do not have a Melchizedek Priesthood ordination recorded on their membership record
- Under 19 years of age and married
- Not assigned to the Young Men organization
- Assigned to the high priests group or elders quorum
