Hi,
My email address is not on my membership record, and I don't recall authorising it to be visible to anyone, including leadership, on lds.org.
Please could you advise how I can get it removed?
Thanks.

Re: Unauthorised email on directory
I think you can edit your profile and remove it. Alternatively, you can ask your ward membership clerk to remove it.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Re: Unauthorised email on directory
You go into directory find your name click "edit" and then click "edit" by your e-mail address it will then take you to a new window where you can delete you address. This will delete it in the online directory and on you membership record in MLS.

Re: Unauthorised email on directory
Is there a way to identify the person or system that added my email to the system, so that this can be prevented in future?
I live in the UK, and there are very strict laws about personal data being stored without authorisation.

Re: Unauthorised email on directory
I don't know of any method of ascertaining who actually placed your Email into the system, but the list of those who COULD do it is fairly small. It would take someone in a ward/stake leadership position, such as a clerk or a member of the Bishopric/Stake Presidency. I suggest you make your wishes known to your Bishop and he can insure that it's not put back again by someone in the ward.JudithCJohnson wrote:Is there a way to identify the person or system that added my email to the system, so that this can be prevented in future?

Note that default, in the UK, the church directory will not display anything about you except to the church leadership.JudithCJohnson wrote:I live in the UK, and there are very strict laws about personal data being stored without authorisation.
