System Restore inoperable on cascaded computers

We recently received three cascaded Lenovo computers for one of the FHCs in our stake. I believe they had received a slightly newer image than the Windows 7 Pro image for FHCs that I received a few months ago.

Every computer I imaged using the image DVD is able to create restore points. However, these three Lenovo computers are not able to create restore points. I was able to correct this by deleting a bogus "C (missing)" from the System Protection tab of the System Properties dialog, and setting the protection properties of the remaining Local Disk C to allow creation of restore points.

I wonder if the folks in Family History Center Support intended to disable System Restore?
