Are Stake Conference Broadcasts English-Language Only?

I'm fairly new to my calling and don't have whatever information was sent to our Stake regarding the broadcast that will be the main part of our Sunday session of Stake Conference....

My question is: Will a Stake Conference broadcast to a US-based Stake (Oregon) have any other language audio streams available? Like maybe Spanish? Or should we expect English only coming with the broadcast - such that any translations to other languages would be performed locally by bilingual members?

Thanks!

It probably depends on the broadcast. I wouldn't expect them to have translations if they don't think they'll be used. If you have the setup for other language on the satellite system, then I'd say there's a fair chance that they'll have those languages. (The theory being, if you have the receiver set up for it, then there's probably a need. And yes, CHQ knows what your receiver is set up for - since they're the ones that send the setup.)

But it should be spelled out in the information the stake president received.

Thanks.

I did eventually find the instructions provided to our Stake President - which included instructions about translations for several languages that could be made available upon request - as well as instructions to send an email to: interpretations@ldschurch.org with any requests for providing available languages. I have emailed to this address now with our specific request. :)

At this point, it's probably too late to add a language. I believe most of those broadcasts are taped earlier in the week and/or they would need advanced notice to bring in a translator.
