I don't know as it was ever policy, but many of us create a "stake" login in case someone locks out the clerk account. This will be more important for new Windows 10 computer, because in the new setup instructions the clerk password is no longer standardized.

Some Windows installs use "Administrator" for internal purpose and that name cannot be set up as a user. In that situation, it's probably better to use "Admin" or "Stake" instead.

no because i couldn't uninstall sophos without the admin password (for sophos not win) and a fresh install of sophos doesn't solve it either. But I left that stake in july so i don't know what happenedvafterwards, if gsc did it remotely or not.

From the W10 Upgrade FAQ:
6. What if we miss the deadline to upgrade to Windows 10 by July 29, 2016?
So, our most faithful branch clerk in a part of the hinterland where Internet service travels by alien space electrons has faithfully left his computer on and never received Windows 10. He surmises that he will never get it now and he asks, if this is indeed true, if there is any way to turn off the obnoxious reminder he gets every time he runs MLS that tells him to leave the computer on all the time.

Not having an MLS computer with which to play, I await your knowledgeable response(s).
If it is a popup, it needs to be fixed.
If it is an Urgent Task, it needs to be removed.
If there is something he can do, he will, as soon as his Urim and Thummim lights up.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't think that's coming from MLS. He may get getting a urgent task that reminds him to upgrade MLS - even if MLS is already at that version. But he still needs to do it, and the urgent task will disappear on it's own.

The only Win10 reminders I remember I think came from the IBM management software. There should be a way to go in and check that off, although I'm surprised that that task doesn't have an expiration date.

I am a STS and have recently (with new Win10 machine) also noticed this account. I called the global help team and they said the account was for the Meetinghouse Administrator (me) but I cannot get into it. They told me the password was [removed]. Have you had any success in getting into this account? I will probably have to call them again and see if I can get another clue.

Thanks,
Brian Parker

Please keep in mind that this is a public forum. We don't want to be posting passwords. But I've not heard of anyone else using that account. You'll probably have to call back.
