Directory Update to Flag Private?

Has the directory app been updated? I just noticed that families whose permission is set to Private have a padlock next to their name in the list and that there's a big yellow box above the family telling me their entry is private:
I don't remember seeing this previously.

This feature has been available for some time, but I don't know exactly when it was added. Has your calling changed recently to a calling that gives you access to more information? A run-of-the-mill member won't see the padlocks and the names won't appear in the list at all.

My calling hasn't changed, but I imagine I've never noticed because we're in the USA the default is Stake visibility. This particular member contacted me because people in the ward told him he wasn't listed in the directory. When I went to check, I found the padlock. Neither of us has any idea how it got set to Private.
