Tithing Statement for Member from Dissolved Ward

A ward in our stake was recently dissolved. We received a few members into our ward from the dissolved ward. One of the members from the dissolved ward asked me for his 2015 tithing statement, which we didn't have in MLS. How can this member get his tithing statement in light of his prior ward being dissolved?

If the member has ever donated online or even logged onto the online donation site, they should get their statement online. Even if they haven't done so before, if they have an LDS Account or create one they should be able to get their statement there.

However, if the member did not donate online and If the member donated in both your ward and the prior ward then you should have also received a statement for them which includes all donations from both wards. You'll find this in the Finances > Financial Statements section. There is a PDF with the tax statements for all members show donated in a ward other than yours (except those who have used the online donations site).

It's my understanding that anyone who has donated in a prior ward in 2015 should have had a PDF statement sent to their current ward. But like the on-line statements, that's all dependent on the prior ward associating the donations with the MRN/membership record.

If all else fails, contact the stake of the prior ward. They assume responsibility for the records of the dissolved ward.
