Changing defualts
Is there a way to change the defaults for brothers moved into our ward? We are a YSA ward and only have an Elder's Quorum. The default for brothers moving in is to the High Priests Quorum. Can I change the default to Elders? How do I do that?

That would be the default for non-Elders. I've not heard of a way to change that.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I have not heard of an effort to change the default quorum or group assignment. So for those who are not elders, you will probably still have to change them manually.
I think it would be worth sending Feedback to let those who make these decisions aware of the need. I believe the default home teaching families unassigned list was changed in part to benefit YSA units.

From occasional posts from people who work for the church, I know they're aware of some issues with singles units (and single members). It's probably a matter of priorities of improving these problems vs. other things they need to get done. As lajackson mentioned, it's probably best to submit Feedback.
