That was why we had ward website be an administrator on the calendar a well as higher level leaders only.
So can ward bulletin specialist just be given the LCR emailing rights?
Sorry I do not have LCR rights so can't look up. But trying to train and needing answers to accessing.
Stake clerk can only help with stake access questions. Guess I need to find ward clerk that can answer
ward level access questions. But people here so helpful that I often get my answers on this forum.

I don't think so. Granting them a calling that gives them rights to LCR's "send a message" automatically gives them admin rights to the calendar.

You can give a person rights to admin the calender without giving them rights to LCR, but I don't think that's what you're asking for.

If it were me, I'd assign both the calendar and the bulletin to the same person or people/committee, because both responsibilities involve keeping track of and communicating what's going on in the ward, and they need to work together to do that effectively. Having rights to email the ward and edit the calendar can go hand-in-hand.

I've always been curious as to why the church has never established "ward bulletin specialist" as a standard calling. As a custom calling, it grants no online privileges.

Edit most calendars, yes. Admin still makes me skittish. Keep in mind as admin they can add them selves to Bishop's private appointment calendar if one has been set up.

Some wards do not have a bulletin.

As of a few months ago, the Ward Website Administrator no longer exists... The title is now Email Communication Specialist. I found this when I saw it listed as a calling under my name in Tools. I have scoured the Handbook and church website, but I can't find anything about this calling or the responsibilities that go with it. I am an assistant clerk, so have been using my access to Send a Message to send out a weekly newsletter. I checked the Access Table, and Email Communication Specialist does have access to Send a Message. And this is the ONLY place I can find the term Email Communication Specialist other than under my listed callings.

There was a letter sent out on June 4th, 2020, which is the only "official" mention I've seen:
https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/letters?q=17752
Notice, 4 June 2020: Communication Specialists
Wards and branches are encouraged to (1) keep sacrament meeting announcements to a minimum and (2) during the week, remind members via email, text, social media, or other means, of the meeting schedule for the next Sunday.

To facilitate such communications, the existing calling “Website Administrator” has been renamed “Communication Specialist.” A person holding the communication specialist calling may now email information to ward members by using the “Send a Message” function under “Applications” in Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR).
(Soon after, it was renamed again from "Communication Specialist" to "Email Communication Specialist.")

Yes calling had changed and so did the rights of the calling. Been working on this for quite some time. According to the official letter Email Communication Specialist has access to LCR. When I was ward website administrator my calling was changed and I nor any of the other ward website administrators had any clue what it was. It was an automatic change. I have not had LCR access. BUT the more important questions I can't seem to answer is all those that had
ward website administrator titles seem to still have the administrator calendar access. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
