Try the "Information Specialist" calling, the person who does the bulletin and sends out the weekly announcements for our ward has that calling and the emails come through the Church email system as being sent by them.

Information Specialist is a custom calling. Custom callings have access to nothing more than what other members of the ward have access to. Perhaps the messages are coming directly from them through their e-mail provider.

Interesting, I hadn't looked closely, but now that I look at the headers and its coming through Mailchimp, but its formatted just like the emails from the Bishop and other Stake/Ward leaders. I will have to ask them if its something that they setup, or what.

I send weekly bulletin emails for my ward. I request an Adult Member List with their names and emails from the Ward Executive Secretary. I also pay attention in church to new members and go to website and add them to my list. I update as I go and also get one quarterly from Executive Secretary to compare with what I have. I also find out when people move cause they email me to be removed from the list. I then ask for their address and forward info to ward clerk. Couldn't figure out a simpler way so it's working for me but would love something simpler :-)

Calendar events can't be edited in the Member Tools app. The only way to change them is via the Calendar page on churchofjesuschrist.org. Rights to edit on the Calendar page are assigned by a unit administrator either by calling or by name. So this can vary by unit. Usually the presidency of each organization can edit events on their organization calendar but it all depends on how the unit sets their calendars up.

Currently the bishopric/stake presidency, clerks, executive secretary and ward website administrators are calendar administrators by default.

In addition, other admins can be added.

Each calendar typically has a list of editors that can modify events on that particular calendar. For example, if there is a RS calendar, one would expect that the RS president and possibly the entire presidency has been set up as editors.

All of this is set up by the admins - hopefully by calling so the rights stay with the calling as people are called and released.

You can find the manual under "help" in the on-line calendar.

Is Ward Website Adm still a calling with these rights?
● Create new calendars
● Approve new calendars
● Inactivate calendars
● Remove calendars
● Manage (add, modify, delete) events on Ward calendars (A bldg scheduler has this right too)

If not, is an administrator responsible or who usually designated? I'm trying to figure out who manages the ward calendars.

That calling was renamed as Email Communication Specialist. The only privilege for that calling that I can see in the LCR Access Table is "Send a Message".

When I look at the Calendar Administrators, I see that the Email Communication Specialist is indeed listed.

You can also grant a person to be a calendar admin from within the calendar itself.
