Unverified in Directory
With the upgrade to the new directory, I noticed that most of the homes in my award are unverified. What is the best way to actually verify these addresses other than just clicking "verified" on each of them?

I think you have to verify all of them. I remember one of the assistant clerks did that in our ward a few years ago.zaneclark wrote:With the upgrade to the new directory, I noticed that most of the homes in my award are unverified. Re: Unverified in Directory
We have been asked to verify map entries. My first tactic was to send a message to all members asking them to verify their own address on the map, very few did. Now I am going to work on it. Am I just verifying that an address is at the correct location on the map?
It would seem that matching members to an address would be a different effort.

Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

I don't know if the new maps function is the same, but a few years ago the member could not later change the pin location if the clerk did the address verification (not that they would necessarily want to, but if the clerk got the pin at the wrong location, the member could not correct it - they would have to go back to the clerk or bishopric member to make the correction).wrigjef wrote:We have been asked to verify map entries. I don’t see that as an issue. If the member never verified in the first place, I doubt that they would care later on.
