I have a member, who was baptized at age 15 in 1972
He was never confirmed a member of the church.
None of his family, wife, kids, or parents are members
As best as we can tell he has been inactive since he was 15
He does not want visits of any kind, he says he cannot remember his baptism, and claims he is not a member.
Since he was never confirmed, is he actually not a member?
What do you do with him?
Is name removal appropriate? If so, what are the steps?
Thanks
Baptized not confirmed inactive member

Re: Baptized not confirmed inactive member
If he was baptized but not confirmed, he is not a member. There is a good possibility the record has been cancelled. I would get as much information as you can and then contact the service center for assistance.

You should be able to find it in Contact Information.jonmartinez44 wrote: Does the service center have an email? or do you know the phone #?
This does raise some interesting questions.

Re: Baptized not confirmed inactive member
We were having a discussion about this today. These are the kind of odd things I get to discuss at work.scgallafent wrote:If he was baptized but not confirmed, he is not a member.
One word of caution for those who may run into this in the future: If there is a confirmation line on the ordinances tab, the person has been confirmed a member of the Church even if the name of the person who officiated in the confirmation is not listed there.
