Webcast current and future capacity

Post by bhawley »

I was told that the webcast system could handle around 100 for a regular event and 200 for a large event (when checked). Is this still accurate, and are there plans to expand the capacity? With the current state of things, online broadcasts will likely be much more frequent and a much larger audience, so wanted to know if the system can support that, and to what level.

Thank you! Sorry for missing that other chat in my searches. Does anyone know if there are plans to increase from the 400 to handle an entire stake?

That wouldn't happen unless the current directives change.

At this point, all stake conferences are postponed. Nothing has been said about webcasting local meetings. So, at this point, there's nothing (other than General Conference in 3 weeks) that would call for such a thing.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

You might have to look outside the church webcasting system if you need to handle a larger numbers of connections.

There actually is a higher capacity solution in the works (also briefly mentioned in that thread).
