Content won’t load from Gospel Library app

Since replacing my iPhone 8 after it got destroyed last week, I can’t get any content to load after reinstalling Gospel Library app on my new iPhone 8. I’ve removed and reinstalled the app several times to no avail. When opening the app, the Moroni figure appears on screen for about a minute, then disappears and reverts to the home iPhone screen.
