No Header at the Main Church Website

The header has disappeared from the main site. That also means no scripture study, no menu, no way to sign on or sign out, navigate, pay tithing, and all of the other wonderful things I have become so comfortable doing there.

It also means our elders quorum will be spared (briefly) my weekly email announcing the General Conference talk study topic for this coming Sunday. (Although I have the direct link to Leader and Clerk Resources and the Send a Message function here somewhere ... )

For me that only happens with Firefox. All is well with Chrome and Edge. Occasionally I can get Firefox to display the header by doing a hard refresh. But tonight it is just not coming back.

Alas, not for me. Neither Chrome nor Edge works either. And I do not recall it ever happening with Firefox. Clearing cache/cookies, all the usual suspects leave me wanting.

The workaround is to click on one of the home page items. The follow on pages all have the menu attached and the other links that are all missing from the home page.

I've occasionally experienced this, but not on a regular or predictable pattern.

Have you tried going to a URL that isn't the main page to see if the header renders there? For example, gc.ChurchOfJesusChrist.org, youth.ChurchOfJesusChrist.org, lcr.ChurchOfJesusChrist.org (if you have access to that site)?

Also, the problem went away a day or two later. Whatever was broken got fixed quickly.

When I see the missing header I try a web page hard refresh. You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files. For the most part I get the header back after the hard refresh.

Windows:
Firefox

1. Press Ctrl + F5 or,
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + R

Chrome, MS Edge, & IE

1. Press Ctrl + F5 or,
2. Press Ctrl + Reload button

Mac:
Firefox

1. Press Command+ Shift + R or,
2. Press Shift + Reload button.

Chrome

1. Press Command+ Shift + R or,
2. Press Shift + Reload button.

Safari

1. Press Option + Command + E.

Hard refresh does not work for me using Firefox 68.10.0esr.
Nor with Edge 44.17763.831.0.
Nor with Internet Explorer 11.1397.17763.0.
