For the 2nd quarter, last years 2nd qtr data was used. I have not seen any guidance for handling the 3rd quarter, which will involve church meetings but of course at a lower level of attendance than what we are used to. Has there been any guiadance regarding this? Thanks for all input.

I cannot find the email right now, but I seem to recall that it said until further notice, or something similar. It is also quite possible that I just assumed that. My memory is a bit faulty from time to time.

But I have seen nothing since the 2nd quarter email.

You are quite correct. There was a notice posted in LCR to the effect that until further notice Quarterly Report figures would be taken from the corresponding 2019 quarter.

OK, thanks to all. Guess my memory failed me this time.

Mine, too. I could not remember where I read it. Thanks, Biggles.
From LCR:
This pattern will continue until normal Church meeting schedules are reinstated.

Hi! Do we know if the same thing happened for the 4th quarter, in other words, are the numbers for 4th quarter 2020 being pulled from 4th quarter 2019?

In theory, yes. But at some point there will not be a prior year quarter from which to pull the numbers. I am not sure how headquarters will handle that.

There is a notice to that effect in the Quarterly Report section, in LCR. In fact there is no Submit button!

I had an PM discussion with scgallafent back in November about the methodology headquarters used in computing the numbers for the quarterly report. The numbers from the 2019 3rd quarter report was being used with adjustments for records moved out and moved in and other adjustments related to membership records sent out to headquarters as "address unknown" and records moved in from "address unknown" for the 2020 3rd quarter report. The adjustments involve a bit of statistical manipulation to get the best guess as to what the numbers would have been had attendance been available.

The 3rd quarter numbers used by headquarters were shown in the LCR quarterly report. The fourth quarter report numbers are not shown and are blank. So we have no idea what headquarters is using.

Headquarters will be generating the reports for 2020 quarter 4. At the beginning of January, we did some analysis of the sacrament meeting data that had been entered and decided that the 2020-Q4 report would be generated by Headquarters.

The data has been generated and we are meeting tomorrow morning to do some additional review. If we manage to get all of the anomalies reviewed and adjusted in the morning, the data will show up tomorrow. If the data doesn't show up tomorrow, you know we aren't done.

Neither am I. 2019-Q1 is the first quarter affected by COVID, so we are reluctant to estimate using that data. In late March, we will start looking at the data that has been entered and decide what to do.

If I were a clerk, I would make sure I am entering attendance numbers (both in-person and virtual).
