Electronic Financial Report

Our Stake has moved to electronic financial report review and approvals. I noticed that in the financial report tab there are both electronic review and approval and the old PDFs that we use to print and sign. If we are doing the electronic review and approval, do we still need to print and sign the PDF? I am assuming not, but wanted to check if anyone had experience with this or saw any sort of informative release about it.

The instructions in the Help Center do not mention any need to print and sign the financial statement. However, the current Audit form in LUFAS still asks whether the statement has been signed and dated. Eventually I expect that LUFAS will automatically mark the finance statement questions if the electronic review has been completed just like they do for the Bishop's expense reviews. But I don't know whether that will be implemented for the next audit. Even if it isn't then pulling up the electronic review should satisfy the audit requirement.

However, my personal plan is to review the statement online and ask the my stake president to do so as well but then I'm going to print and sign the statement too just to make the audit easier until I know that it handles it automatically (even though I don't think it's really needed).

We (the stake) were going to wait for the new year end audit to be updated on LUFAS. If the question changes, we are good with the digital signoff. If the question remains the same, we were going to print the statements and sign and date them with the dates from the digital review. I trained the clerks on this last night.

I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. The new Financial Statements don't seem to give ALL the information the old ones did. I can't seem to find where it lists the 'outstanding checks'. Is it not there or am I just blind?

Thanks for the help.

Outstanding Reconciliation Items, if any exist, are shown on the second page of the unit financial statement.

They may also be found here on LCRF:
