Third question - a good dynamic mic for musical instruments?

Hello. I have several questions related to building audio. Our stake center is about 10 years old. I'm not sure if that matters in terms of technology used but I share in case it does. I have several questions that I'll post here.
Third question.
Depending on the answers to the first two questions, we may purchase a microphone specifically for musical instruments for the next conference. As I understand it, it needs to be a "dynamic" type of microphone. Anyone know of a good, moderate to high gain mic that would work to overcome any potential system "weighting" and give us a good, clear sound? Without breaking the bank?? It would be a limited use device, not one used for baby blessings etc. so it doesn't need to be built like a tank to withstand usual Church wear and tear. Haha
Thanks
