October 1997 General Conference Talks in FRENCH

Post by smiffyna »

The Church website and Gospel Library app do NOT have this Conference translated into French. I am looking specifically for a French translation of Elder Maxwell's talk, "Apply the Atoning Blood of Christ." Does anyone have a translated version available, please?

I attend a bilingual English/French branch. My native language is English. I have moderate ability in French, but I would like to be sure that I am correctly translating not only the words but also the rich meanings behind Elder Maxwell's teaching.

Thank you!

I'm not sure why October 1997 is missing in French – I see the same problem (the surrounding conferences are there, but not that one :) ). I would recommend sending feedback in Gospel Library settings or at the bottom of the page on the Church website to report it.

In the meantime, I found a scanned PDF of the January 1998 Liahona (L’Étoile) in French here, which has the talks from October 1997 General Conference:

Elder Maxwell's talk starts on page 25.

In case it's helpful, this page shows which magazine issues are conference editions and has links when available:

(full disclosure: my own website)
