Post Event Viewing on Apple Devices

As you may know, certain webcast events can be viewed for 24 hours after the event using the event code. On Apple devices, however, a message appears that says, "Post event viewing in Safari is not currently supported. Please use chrome, Firefox or Edge to view the video." The problem I'm seeing is that the post-event video doesn't work with the Edge or Chrome browsers on Apple devices either (didn't try Firefox). A message appears in the player that says, "HLS stream has an error (SOURCE_HLS_STREAM_ERROR). Is this a known issue?

I think I've narrowed this issue down to post-event viewing of events that were streamed using a high-bandwidth encoding (HBE) method rather than using the Teradek. Just beware that if HBE was used for encoding, post-event viewing might have to be limited to viewing on a PC.

I'm happy to report that something "behind the scenes" has changed and post-event viewing of events, even those using high-bandwidth encoding (HBE), are now working really well. I've tried this with broadcast type "Stake Conference" and "Other" successfully. It's also interesting to note that even though there's a message in the video player that says, "Post event viewing in Safari is not currently supported" I've found that playback within a Safari browser works without any issues.
