Stake split = can’t delete recurring event

Post by mikeparker42 »

I have a very specific problem and haven’t been able to resolve it locally.

Our stake was split in January 2019. Before the split, I was part of the West Stake. I created a long series of repeating events (like, years worth) at the stake center.

After the split, the stake center and I are now part of the North Stake. Those repeating events are still on our (North) stake center’s calendar, but they say "Event Owned by _____ West Stake."

No one in our stake (North)—neither building schedulers nor ward/stake calendar administrators— can delete these events because they’re not owned by our stake. No one in the other stake (West) can delete these events because they can’t see our stake center in their list of locations. It’s a real Catch-22.

Any suggestions? Does this take someone from Salt Lake to fix?

Thanks,

Mike

I'd suggest using the Feedback link at the bottom of the calendar.

You could try having a stake calendar admin in the North stake go into the calendar location settings and temporarily give the West stake permission to schedule the North stake center. Then, maybe an admin in the West stake would be able to see and delete the events.
