Starting a new ward

Postby johnsco-p40 » Sat Oct 24, 2009 5:34 pm

We have a new ward starting up. They have a computer to setup. Can someone help me with the following.

1. The current version of MLS and a link please.
2. We need to merge members from 5 other wards in the stake into this new ward (Spanish). How is the best way to accomplish that? Is the merging completed in SLC?

Thanks in Advance

MLS 3.0.3
http://mls.lds.org - You'll also find the necessary setup instructions. The FM group will be providing the computer. Donations not acceptable.

If you don't have the login/password, talk to your Stake Technology Specialist or Stake Clerk.

I'd suggest having those wards follow the procedure for a "boundary realignment". While move-in/move-out will work, it will require re-entering the address/phone number for each family. Boundary moves preserve the existing information.
