Is there a way to change my name in member tools

My member tools profile displays my full name (first, middle, last) as well as the middle names of my children. While I am fine with my full name and my children's full names being on the records of the church, I do see it as a privacy concern to have my full name and that of my children's so easily accessed by so many people in the ward (even when I limit my household privacy settings). Is there a setting some where on the app where I can just have my display name be my first and last name, same with my children?

You can always seem more about yourself in Tools than other members.

I'd suggest asking someone outside of your family, who is not a leader, to see what they can see. Odds are, it will be just the preferred name.

If after checking what others see listed for you and your household as russellhltn suggests, and you need to make adjustments to you or any member of your household preferred name, then contact your ward clerk or membership clerk to make those adjustments.
