Updating Tools App data

When members notice that the Member Tools app on their mobile device is not updating, either automatically or manually, some have success by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Today, I noticed that my Tools app had not downloaded new ministering assignments, even though I had it set to automatically update, and had even attempted several manual updates.

I think part of the problem is that members do not properly connect to the Liahona SSID at the chapel, and then agree to the Terms of Service presented in a browser window. Even so, I still had a problem updating the app data on my Android phone.

I did not need to uninstall the app. I opened the Settings page in my Tools app, and selected "Sign out and remove all data from Member Tools". Then I signed in again and reset my PIN, and all the data immediately updated.
