I'm a new bishop and started a mission application for a Senior Sister in my ward. She said she wanted to serve and at-home, full-time service mission. I started the application as such and my Stake President got a message back from the Missionary Department that we needed to change the mission type to Service. I went into the Missionary Online Recommendation System (MORS). I can't seem to access anything but download the forms. My Stake President doesn't see the option for this on when he logs in. The application still shows that it is with church headquarters. Can they change it? Can they send it back? Would that make it available to the Stake President or I to change the type? I tried starting the application from scratch but since she has one in process, I can't start a new one.

I'll try calling the missionary department tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone had any hacks or advice they'd be willing to share. Thanks

EIther the Missionary Department needs to change it based on your phone call or they need to send the application back to the stake so that the stake president can change it and return it to headquarters.
