"not authorized" cnm.churchofjesuschrist.org

#1

Post by mwarner1 »

Good morning. I'm a stake technology specialist and on Sunday I was able to access tm.lds.org to make an update. On Monday, it looks like a redirect was put in place to send us to cnm.churchofjesuschrist.org. When I follow the link, I get a page that says "No access — You are not authorized to access this service”. Similarly, when I go to My Home -> My Calling -> Stake Technology Specialist I get "Page Not Found. We're sorry, but the page you're looking for was not found."

Is anyone else hitting this?

Working fine for me. I'm an STS with no special permissions other than in this forum.

You might want to try again. They may have still be setting it up.

I'm having an interesting experience accessing CNM. Using Chrome on an iPad have no difficulty in accessing, using a laptop running W10 I'm unable to access. I get the following error message!

This site can’t be reached Check if there is a typo in churchnetworkmanager.azurewebsites.net.
If spelling is correct, try running windows network Diagnostics.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

However using incognito mode, no problem accessing. Will try clearing cookies etc, to see if that is the cause of the problem

Working for me, kind of. Looks like most of the static IP and No Splash assignments survived, except IP assignments for one building. Grrr...

I am the High Councilor for the Mesa Arizona Alma Stake, in charge of facility maintenance. We have two wards moving back into a chapel that has been having a new AC system installed, at 616 S. Extension RD., Mesa, Arizona, 85210. The two wards are: Fiesta ward and the Rancho Del Mar ward. They will need to have access to the CNM set up. How is that set up? [Personal contact information removed - this is all public]. Sorry, I am a welder by profession and not very good with computers!!! :(

Getting the A/C contractors access to the network should be FM's problem. They "own" the building and deal with the big items like that.

While it's possible they might get connected wirelessly, odds are they'll have them connect to a pre-determined port on a switch or firewall. Anyone with access can set that up remotely.

When WiFi thermostats were added to our buildings, the FM Group set the controller on the facilities port of the managed switch. The port was already set up in most of our building. But the FM Group was able to access the network and make any changes. They did not need my help as STS to do it.
