Need some help ASAP.
In the Quarterly Reports, there's a section called "Indicators of Conversion and Church Growth" and within that section towards the bottom of that section, it says "Adults and youth who submitted ancestor names for temple ordinances in the last 12 months". What exactly does that mean? For our ward we have a low percentage, but we consistently go to the temple and take many names, so we're not sure how that percentage is calculated and what constitutes "submitted ancestor names".
If anyone could help ASAP that would be great. Thank you for your time!!!

Re: Indicators of Conversion and Church Growth
I would look for posts by aebrown.
The number comes from FamilySearch. IIRC, it's the number of *members* of your ward that have either printed a card, or shared the name with the temple. This is not a count of the number of names, nor a count of the number of people going to the temple, but how many members members are involved in finding and printing names. You could have one sister cranking out enough names for 10 youth, but the number on the report would be "1", not "10" or "11".

Re: Indicators of Conversion and Church Growth
As I understand it, this is the number of youth and adults who have printed an ordinance request to take to the temple or who have shared the ordinance request with the temple so that someone else is able to do the work. Simply reserving a name in your Family Tree does not count. The name has to be printed or shared. The information comes from FamilySearch.
A person who has done this in the last 12 months counts as 1, no matter how many names they print or share for temple work. So a youth who prints out a large number of names for proxy baptisms and confirmations that are completed on the next ward youth temple trip still only counts as 1. If three youth printed out names, they will count as 3 for the next 12 months.
If several youth in a family print names using the Member Account of one parent, the parent counts as 1. The youth would not be counted.
The count measures how many members have actually submitted names to a temple. It is not a count of the number of names submitted.

Thank you so much for that. One more thing, do the names have to be completed on the temple's end in order for it to be counted as a "submitted ancestor name"?

Re: Indicators of Conversion and Church Growth
Unless something has changed, just printing the card or sharing it with the temple is enough. Again, what's being measured is how many members are actively working on their tree and submitting names.

The Family History Activity Report in Leader and Clerk Resources has a little bit more info than what shows in the quarterly report, in case it's helpful:
