Annotations for notes in Gospel Library

I love the Gospel Library app. It's so intuitive for research and studying with multiple tabs and the footnote and notes sidebar.

I have an issue though, and that's that I can't make notes on anything but what's already in the app. It would be amazing if I could copy a poem or a few paragraphs from an article from the church website and put them into a note, and annotate that note to link scriptures, add highlights, make notes, and add tags to them.

It would make it a lot easier to take notes on BYU Speeches and Gospel messages from other sources.

Standalone notes can have tags. However, you can't add highlights or links in the same way as regular content. As a workaround, you could use bold, italics, and underline in the note editor for "highlighting." There's also a hyperlink tool in the note editor – you can select a word in your note and turn it into a hyperlink that goes to any URL. If you use a URL that starts with https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study, tapping the link will remain in Gospel Library.

(More information about URLs that go to Gospel Library content can be found here: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/learn/mobile-applications/deep-linking-in-gospel-library?lang=eng)

In the Help section of Gospel Library (three dots in the top right > Help) there's a Send Feedback option where you can send suggestions to the team that works on Gospel Library.
