Recording leadership changes

#1

Post by brofisher »

Just wondering what others are doing.

There are some callings that are stake callings and that are recorded under the stake organization section. There are Ward callings that are recorded under the Ward organization section. It is clear on the roles of the stake clerk and the ward clerk on these.
However what are others doing with the ward leadership that are called by the stake? IE Eledrs Presidency. Does the ward clerk take the primary responcibility to enter them into their ward organization section in LCR or is it the stake clerks primary responcibility to enter them into the ward section cause they were called by the stake?

Thanks

I believe the only calling that has to be entered by the stake is Bishop. I believe they can enter the councilors, but I'm not sure if they can enter anything else in the ward.

For most of those callings either the stake or ward clerk can make the change, so it really comes down to who gets to it first. Some stakes will be more on top of it and some wards will be more prompt. Unless your stake has given directions otherwise I would record it.
