Full-time missionary access in LCR

#1

Post by fletch74 »

Please feel free to redirect me if this has already been addressed - I failed to see it in search results: Is it intentional that full-time missionaries serving in a ward lack access to LCR? I expect so, though this seems very odd to me, as they regularly need (and presumably should be able to access) member lists in the ward.

Assigned missionaries, as well as senior missionaries, are granted access to unit directories in both the online Ward Directory and Map and Member Tools in their proselyting area by their mission office through the Internet Mission Office System (IMOS). Access to LCR is not included.

To what particular member lists other than the unit directory do your assigned missionaries need access?

Sorry, JD. I'm just seeing this (I'm unsure if I needed to tweak something in my notification settings - it looks like I should get email notifications now on this thread).

Great to know, thanks!

At a minimum, the Finding Lost Members report: https://lcr.churchofjesuschrist.org/add ... s?lang=eng I think there might be more, though that's the one that I can remember. Probably custom reports or some way to see things like part-member families would also be on the wish list.

Having access to the Ward Calendar for the ward they're serving in would be very helpful as well.

I'm a young full-time missionary serving as the technology specialist for my mission, and would definitely like to be able to see the ward calendar to be more united with my ward's efforts. @djfarstead have you been able to find a solution?

I read that the new calendar 4.0 for the church broke features like calendar syncing (ical) which would be the only workaround I could think of. Any thoughts?
