Notes disappear on double-click

#1

Post by kelosh »

I will generally double click my screen to make the headers/footers go away to have more real estate for what I’m reading. I’ve noticed over the past few weeks that when I do that with my Related Content open it switches to some random (always the same) content in the margin. I screenshot it so you can see what I’m talking about. I circled the random content that pops up every time. Does anyone else have this problem? If I try to get back to my normal Related Content it won’t work and I always have to swipe the app away and reboot it. It’s a weird bug.

I haven't been able to reproduce the bug you're seeing on my device, but I found what you're seeing in the sidebar. It looks like it's resetting to the sidebar content from the Come, Follow Me chapter for Isaiah 40–49 (September 19–25). Did you get to Isaiah through the Come, Follow Me chapter? I'd be interested to know if you're able to find steps to reproduce it on demand, and if it always resets to the sidebar content for the Come, Follow Me chapter you came from.

EDIT: 10 seconds after posting, I found steps to reproduce the issue! :)

1. Go to the current Come, Follow Me chapter.
2. Tap the link under the hero image to go to the relevant scripture chapter.
3. Force-close and reopen the app.
4. Open the full related content in the sidebar.
5. Double-tap to enter full screen mode.

I'll report this as a bug. I'd recommend that you send feedback as well, under Settings > Help > Send Feedback in the app.
