FamilySearch ID# When Member Death Is Recorded

#1

Post by yakfixer »

When the Clerk records a member death, does he see the FamilySearch ID# for the deceased individual? And will that deceased individual be immediately viewable in FamilySearch?
Thanks,
David

No, the clerk does not see anything from FamilySearch. It takes at least 24 hours for the death to flow from the membership system to FamilySearch. Then the fun begins, as all the relatives also record the death on the living profiles they have created for the now-deceased person, and then merging them all together.
